Psycho-Oncology at the University of Derby
Providing support through empirical inquiry
We study the psychological and spiritual impact of living with cancer. Our aim is to support patients through the development of clinical interventions and support groups. We also partner with community-based organisations to study how best to support oncology healthcare providers.
We are based in the United Kingdom, but we serve patients globally via our online offerings. We lead trainings and retreats in Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.
“Full recognition that the ‘people part’ of cancer care is vital to a well-managed and compassionate cancer system makes ethical, emotional and economic sense.”
