Jo-Anne Albertsen, MSc
Postgraduate Researcher
I am an MSc Health Psychology student at the University of Derby. I am passionate about helping people to live healthier and more harmonious lives. My past work roles have included providing support to men and women with health conditions such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, and diabetes. In addition to an undergraduate degree in psychology, I also hold postgraduate qualifications in social behaviour studies, development studies, and human factors/ergonomics. I have gained certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Professional with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2020. I am particularly interested in stress management, coping with chronic illness, eating behaviour, as well as the role that nature and spirituality play in health and well-being. I enjoy spending time at the coast, photographing landscapes and architecture, and experimenting with plant-based recipes.
