Rory Colman, MSc
Postgraduate Researcher
I am a post-graduate researcher pursuing projects in psycho-oncology, mental health, and public health. I am particularly interested in investigating the benefits of compassion-based interventions for cancer patients. I have a background in computing and use the skills developed over 20 years in industry to pursue improvements to care for patient and public benefit. I collaborate with researchers and clinicians from around the world to develop empirical research on the influence of culture on health and healthcare. My research is informed by an interest in the intersection of existential concerns and mental health, taking inspiration from philosophy, literature, and music. In my spare time I provide mental health crisis support for a UK charity and get outdoors as much as possible with family and friends.
